Crysis hates ATI?

I have an ATI x1900xtx 512MB graphics card that works just fine, but every time I load the game, the caard sounds like it's going into overdrive, then the monitor displays a few weird colors for a moment before going black. I've tried several different drivers including the Catalyst hotfix for Crysis. Any suggestions?

hah yea if you run the readyforcrysis.com test with an ATI card it tells you, your using integrated graphics.

what os are you using? and you just plain can't play crysis at all.. no intro's no nothing?

I would definitely suspect drivers. But since you've already tried the crysis hotfix drivers, I'm not sure.
It runs fine with my crossfired 3870's.

does it run fine with other games?

COD4 doesn't seem to like my ATI, so this wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

Really trot? my COD4 Runs at 70-100+ FPS AVG, try these drivers : AMD Customer Care

I can run COD4 at 1680x1050, high settings, and still stay around 90fps
can't remember if it is with AA on

@Preacher: those are the drivers I use.

how do you check your fps in the cod4 game? is it a special program or a code you put in console?
