creating a cs server

Has any one created a cs server? If so what software did yo use to create it. I am looking to create my own cs server, and wondering what the best software out there, and the easist to set up and control. I have seen amx, but they has to be something that most other servers use.

Those are all server plugin's dont worry about them.

Use the HL Dedicated server thingy that's downloadable on steam. Their's a few other out their.

Make sure your server is set up for port fowarding with your router and stuff. 192.168.0.100 IS NOT THE RIGHT IP

I looked at steam under the games, and the only option I have to download for a server is the source server. I dont see a different option for cs 1.6.

Edit: Is it the one labeled dedicated server? The source one is above it.

Alright, thanks. All you need is the 12mb file to creat a server? Or are the addins, like the maps and admin tools and all that?

I did all of that, but how do I go about setting it up with the admin commands. So i can give my self all the controls over the aspects of the server?

Such as: voting, kicking, teams, and enything else.
