Short of getting a faster hard drive, I doubt it. Of course, I saw quite an improvement going from my 5400-rpm Seagate U-series to a WD Raptor. Seems like the time was cut by two thirds, or even three fourths.

you mean to join a server right? Like when its downloading a custom map or custom audio like "boom/headshot/fpsdoug.wav" and **** like that?

Yes there is a way you can skip dowloading that stuff but I don't know how to do it.

no he meant the screen where you see those two CT's facing different ways and it shows "Loading..." at the buttom right corner of your screen when you double click the css icon on your desktop
