I played some really good simple video games put out by some small companies that are refreshing after dealing with involved RPG and other 'time suck' $50+ games. The demo is free, and actually are fairly good! Here are some. If you have ones like these, and of this quality -- please post them. I hope that this new shareware/freeware does as well as Id did!

Very cool, very pretty top down view of 'save the fluffy things' on levels. Ship movement is brisk and satisfying.
Air Strike 3D

I like this game since it is like 'Raiden' in that it is a top down shooter, and what makes it neat is you can adjust your perspective from isometric forward, kinda top down, to top down. The 3d stuff is cool, and the explosions gratifying. Kind of reminescent of '1942.' Missiles, Gun and power upgrades as you progress.
Think Tanks

This is a weird game, but fun. This is atari 'Tank' but dressed up so you have multi-player internet bouts in a 3d world, 3rd person tank perspective and power ups are involved. Has F-zero type speed and bump pads - and does has the ability to immediately gratify shoot-destroy fixes.
