Command And Conquer: Generals Online Error

Hey guys! A few days ago i decided to play an old game: Command and Conquer: Generals. Everything's fine, except this: When i click Multiplayer > Online, a screen pops up saying: ''Unable to establish a connection with Command And Conquer Generals Servers. Please check your Internet Connection''

Is there any solution for this issue?

What are your specs? Your OS? Do other games connect fine? Tried forwarding your ports on your firewall/router for C&C?

I think they might have been taken down. I tried it out a few months back just to see if they were up and nothing showed for me either. Gave the same error.

Unfortunately EA is known for doing this.
