I can only run this game in safe mode. If i touch even ONE settings, my ping shoots to 999, but if I play in safe mode, my ping is fine.. I dont get it!

extract the files to a new folder, then go into the folder and run dxsetup.

once it installs you can delete all those files.

I had that error and installing dx9 fixed it.

LOL that's sad then. It means it's Microsoft's programmers that are useless .

You need to install dx9 august 08 version.

Vista comes with DirectX 10/10.1

anyway, I got the "unhandled exception caught" error
I've installed DirectX 9.0c november 2008 update

the log says it crashes after trying to initialise the sound.
I have an Asus Xonar D2X, with the latest drivers, in XP 32 (SP3 build 3180)


I might reinstall XP x64 edition and see if it works in there (I installed Windows again, because I think my raptor is dying)
