CoD4 Server List

I just got the game tonight and when I tried playing multiplayer no servers were showing up. I even tried to connect to one manually, but it timed out. I've searched this specific subject on Google and found many threads complaining about this issue, but no solution.

Please help me!

Edit: Okay, never mind. Turns out I wasn't downloading the patches where I should have been downloading them. I reinstalled Call of Duty 4, ran it to see if it had a server list, and it did. Most of them were 1.7 servers, so I built up the courage to actually try my luck. Instead, I made sure to download the patches from Patches | Infinity Ward. In short, reinstall and download the patches from Patches | Infinity Ward.
