COD2 wont wokr!!

Ok so i tried installing COD2 on this machine i beefed up. Its my gfs living room PC which has
Emachines
P4 3.06 ghz w/ HT LGA775
(i installed) 2gig of DC ram
INtegrated PCI-E graphics w/ 256mb shared
6channel audio
160gig SATA HD

Ok well i just recently installed a fresh copy of XP onto this thing and its lightning fast. Ive installed everything necesary including the April version of DX9. When i go to play the game it gives me a DirectX error. Any ideas?

the problem is from ur video card, becasue i have integrated on my laptop, and cod2 didn't run at all.
u need to buy something like nvidia 6600GT, 6800GS, 7600GT in order to play without problems

Ye ai brought over my 9800XT to install into it but it dosent have an AGP slot or anything. All it has is integrated PCI-E graphics. I figured the integrated would be good enough at least considering its PCI-E.

no not really, any intergrated graphics sucks.

just get a 6600/7600GT then you are good to go..

Ive already said that there are no extra slots in it. Its a prebuilt and i thought it had an AGP slot so i brought my 9800XT to own some games w/. I was wrong, it only has 2 PCI slots.

It looks like you're s.o.l then unless you can scrounge up a decent PCI graphics card, which will be quite a chore

Haha i wouldnt even try to play any modern games on a PCI card
