lol...i've tried that numerous times....and I think i am about due again due to the amount of time its taking for my system to start up these days.

OK, i'm a freaking idiot. I forgot that i forced 4xAA on in the display properties! . Does Cod2 have HDR in it? because in places it sure does look like it. that would also explain why i get about 30-40fps at 1024x768 almost maxed.

No HDR in CoD2, to my knowledge.

beedubaya: I don't know why your DX9-class card should not be able to use the DX9 renderer in CoD2 (which it obviously isn't, it's the only explanantion as to why it looks so crummy). Are you sure you haven't got any IQ-degrading options enabled in Catalyst? I ask again: Does DX9 RTHDRIBL look like it should?...
