I know, its part of Nvidia's marketing campaigne to get game manufacturers to make games that use SM3.0 but not 2.0b, even though the same effects can be created. This will require people to use Nvidia hardware if they want to see all the special effects. This is very crappy of Nvidia IMO.

Thats because you have a l33t Nvidia card. If you had an ATI you would be singing a different tune.

Not really, I just acquired a '1337 nvidia card' which is my first one ever. I've always pretty much preferred nvidia, but regardless, you argue the fact yourself that it's taking ATI long enough to get in SM3, now nvidia pushes to use SM3 to push out the competition.........it's smart marketing, simple as that
