C&C Generals Zero Hour Problem

We got this brand new computer the other day and my brother decided to buy the zero hour expansion. The computer meets the specs by far. Every now and then, when he has been playing on it for 3 hours +, the game will quite and an error message will appear.

Something along the lines of ..... there has been a serious error, this could have been caused by a virus, overheated hardware, failing to meet min requirements ....

Anyone else have this problem ... ?

I think its probaly the over ehating one because the computer gets extremely noisy (either HDD or fan , not sure which) but i think its a bit crap if it overheats like that.

yea, this game is known for crashing... I have my computer overclocked, and nothing really overheats, but every game runs fine except for zero hour, it just decides to crash at random times showing errors like yours..
