Command And Conquer Generals: Zero Hour (Patched to 1.04)

I have visited many forums sites and all of them state that the slow computers are lagging this game down in online play, however, my pc lags even in singleplayer. most of my friends PC's can handle the game on singleplayer perfectly and yet my pc cant. it starts off smooth and then slowly, gets to a point where i just dont want to play anymore.

and im absoloutly certain it cant be my pc being to old.

AMD Athlon X2 3800+
Leadtek 7600GT extreme
1GB Corsair DDR400
Windows XP PRO (SP2)

any help or opinions would be great .

Wow, my comp is much slower than yours and it runs perfectly, no issues at all.

Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4GHz
Oldass GeForce Ti4200 128mb video card
1GB crucial memory
and on a 21" widescreen monitor at that...

You must be having some wierd issues that I wish I knew the answer too heh. Make sure all your hardware is working properly? RAM not going bad maybe or sumthin wierd? Power issues?

try uninstalling and reinstalling program. if that does not fix it, try putting it on all the lowest graphic settings to just see if it makes a difference. then finally just go into your case and make sure all hardware and cables are seated properly.
