C&C generals trouble getting it to run

Please help i have installed c&c generals and when i go to play it error message comes up (multiple errors) basically the same error DLL D:\Games\language.mix is not a valid Windows image please check this against your installation disk. This is a genuine bought copy I don,t know what to do please help.

.Mix files, they were used on the old old command and conquers like RA2.

I don't know what you have but that isn't generals. .Big files are what is used now. Try reinstalling it, but make sure to delete the program files folder before you reinstall.
