This website has some great in browser games. Very similar to quake live and BF heroes. Except I think they did the online community thing right.
My personal favorites are fallen empire: legions and Galcon.
I've played legions with some of the developers and talked with them. They are going to be updating the graphics more and more, which is cool. But what they really have been working on is balancing out the game.
I think if your a PC gamer you should check it out. I find myself playing legions as much as I play tf2 and source.
