Black and White problems on pc

hi , i was playing Black and White for the first time which my mate had lent me to borrow and i installed it then played but then when the video scences come on i get stuff flashing in front of me like buildings and that... why is that

here are specs for game: ( easy specs to meet )

Windows 95/98/ME/2000
Processor: 350MHz
Memory: 64MB Ram
HDD: 600MB
CD-DVD: 4x speed
Video: 8MB Graphics
3D Accelerator: Direct 3D
DirectX: Version 7.0a

here are MY Specs

Windows XP Pro
768MB DDR Ram
Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128MB
40GB HDD
Intel Celeron D Processor 2.53GHz ( 2533MHz )
Direct X 9.0

why is this happening ?

Well, firstly have you updated your drivers? i.e. video drivers, dx9. Secondly how about video codecs? maybe you need to install the game again. I've never had this problem, but good luck!

Sounds like one of the following:

1) Driver problem

2) Codec issue

3) overheating


Im better its one of the first two

shouldnt be overheating i got 5 fans in this plus 2x AKASA Exhaust blowers to keep it all cool... uhrmm my Drivers are up to date from Nvidia Site i always look every week for new ones but what does the codec have to do with it

codecs...codecs are the programs that come along with the game. Divx for example, could be considered a codec. They are often used for playing the cutscense
