bf2 loading issues

it takes me like a year to load the levels and verify client data and when i actully get in the game i lag so bad its unplayable. i have a 6800gt, 1 gig ram, amd 3200

Does it lag in single player? If its only multiplayer, it could be a server or internet connection speed issue.

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

Do you have many processes/programs running in the background?

onlyin multiplayer. every other game i play runs fine and nothing but antivirus running. im pretty sure i have the most recent drivers but ill check it out

What kind of hdd do you have?

a 160gig seagate. it ran liek crap on my raptor too

Have you ran some virus scans, reinstalled bf2, defragged, disk cleanup?

i just installed it last night on this hd, its brand new

So it runs fine in single player? Then its probably your internet connection or the servers you are trying to join.

yeah, ur internet is probably really bad. check the ping times

pings fine. it never used to do this. i could play the demo fine. i give iup from now on ill just make a local server and fly around by myself im desperate ive done it a few times already
