lords of the realm2, that game is addicting, just dont get the patches, they add all kind of bad things (instead of just floods or droughts and the plague, you have robbers, hags curses and all kinds of other stupid crap)

The Monkey Island games and the Space Quest games were always my favorite adventure games.. and as far as strategy, Lemmings was the most addictive for sure.
