As a side note... check you PSU and make sure of what its wattage is... all new graphics cards have a minimum wattage requirement. You might have to upgrade your PSU as well as your graphics card.

good point. my old PSU (OCZ PowerStream600) blew up due to too much juice from GPU. (im just assuming)
i thought 600W was enough but it wasn't...
now they sent me Gamextreme 700 for free...I'm a lucky one.

Well, odds are it has a 250W or a 300W PSU, which won't cut it for a 7900GT... those wouldn't cut it with a 7600GT.
