battlefield 2 LAN problem

All other games work over our LAN except... Battlefield. 3 people can join a game then once a fourth enters it cuts one of the others out? When any client tries to join it says the ping is around 250, but joins anyway. When in the game it shows all 3 players with pings of around 1-4 max, then when the fourth client joins it just cuts one out?

Also on two of our PC's it just will not remember the video settings or user accounts, thoughts?

Anyone had any similar experiences?

I play online, not on a LAN. Have you tried Googling it?
