Battlefield 2 and headsets

I'm going to be getting a computer that can run BF 2 in a month or so, and was wondering if it's worth it to get a headset.

Do lots of people have them?

Will I be looked down upon or not wanted if I don't have one?

Will I be putting it to good use?

Not a headset technically, but it comes with a microphone that you clip onto your shirt, a annoyance to me, but the sound makes up for it. I have the Icemat Siberia headset, very nice, I love it.

well, i dont really think alot of people use headsets in bf2 or maybe im wrong but i know u will need 1 eventually for some other games.
ex. counter strike source,cod2 ect...

alot of severs use team speak so its a good idea to get a headset that what i do. i just use my xbox live headset works great if u have 1

Not many people use them in BF2 from my experience.

Not many people use them, that is until they find someone else talking. They aren't going to just talk to people who will not respond.

I actually play in a server, my only server I play in, with a group of maybe 6-10 people who all use mics and we all talk and coordinate.

I say go with it because you don't only use it for BF2.
