Battlefield 2

My friends game stutters alot and slows down during gameplay. Battlefield 2 Full version. Some maps or sometimes it plays good but others it slows and it happens to often.
What are the possible problems?

System:
Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz HT
ATI Radeon x800 Pro
1 Gb Ram
140 Gb Hard Drive
Creative 24 bit Audigy 2 zs Gamer
Windows XP Service Pack 2

What are his settings at?

Turn lighting to low.

Check for spyware.

Check for Viruses.

Lack of ram. Shadow and lighting settings set to high with an x800 pro.

Everything is set to max. AA is set to 4x. Isnt the ram enough to play this game good?. Eax is also enabled.

BF2 is a system hog - 2 gigs are required for highest settings

Over 1 gig of ram is used at the LOWEST settings lol on your average PC.

 

[Counter-Strike]

2GB to play that game, it eats RAM like a fat woman eats cake.

Especially if you are putting that sucker to 4x AA..

you might want to put dynamic lighting and shadows down on med, and then you can jack everything up on super high. maybe that will help.

i have that problem to, but its not my computer specs, i have a wirless connection, (DAMN YOU FATHER FOR NOT AGREEING TO LET ME DRILL A WHOLE IN THE HARD WOOD FLOORING TO SNAKE A CABLE WIRE THROUGH THE FLOOR, DAMN YOU)

that sux if 1 gig of ram is required for lowest setting then y does it say 512mb ram for minnimum system settings it is stupid!!!
