anyone know a better recorder then Fraps?

because when i record something, my fps drops so dramatically. Is there a better recorder thing like Fraps but better?

if not, is this normal for all programs like Fraps?

i ran fraps on my old sempron 2800 and nvidia6800 and it dropped fps by about 15.

now on my athlon 3400 and nvidia7800gs it only drops FPS by about 3-5

i think it has to do with proccessor speed and GPU power.

and by looking at your build, i can see why it drops alot.

hmm i should of known, but not to worry, im planning on getting ATI R600 this March, if i get the money in time, n AMD's 1st or 2nd quad-core, dual PCI-E 2.0 mobo, 2 x 2GB DDR2 (or DDR3) SDRAM at the end of this or early next year.

You can also try setting the recorded FPS lower.
