unfortunately, a thousand dollars wont do too much for you if your a gamer. A good graphics card is gonna run 400 bucks, your gonna want at least another half gig of ram, which is about 80 bucks, and then a new processor, if you want to run doom 3 and half life 2 hardcore. You will probably need at least 1500 bucks at the very least!

Prices right now? All your posts are like 2 sentences of total BS. Computer prices right now are cheaper than ever. You can get a kick-arse gaming PC for $1500, and thats with 6800GT and a Raptor HDD and low latency RAM!
