anti aliasing kills my FPS in every game

It has nothing to do with the bandwidth, and that also applies for the GTX 200 series and the other 4800's.. but as you can see I'm repeating myself

heres a quick question i get 70 FPS with 1280x960(monitor likes that res)
if i go very high with no AA i get about 38 FPS with sli of course...

now, if i sell my 8800's and buy 1 single 4870, what do you think roughly my FPS with those settings and res would be? based of what the 2 8800's got me..?

second question, with physX enabled in the nvidia control panel that means that one of my cards is doing physX?

or maybe run 1 8800 with a 260 gtx?

Well it'd be less than 70 because two 8800GT's beat a 4870/GTX 260 at stock without AA/AF...

Throw in AA and AF however, things will change quickly, you'll probably get little to no FPS drop with them on with a GTX 200 series or HD 4000 series card

PhysX is a good option, you can still do that with two separate cards... (its in the search.. jsut look for it)

You can't SLI two different cards...

My recommendation:

Get one HD 4870 1gb or GTX 260 Core 216 and keep one of your 8800GT's for PhysX acceleration, and throw out the other one

i think i may try 4870 and crossfire in a few months.....

but if i got the 260 gtx there would be no option for sli, it would just be connected for physX? if so will that increase fps?

what about these options:

i have access to this card brand new for 210.00
Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1265-AR GeForce GTX 260 Gore 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

also what about the core 240 gtx 280 for $350?
i just found 2 9800 GTX + cards for 280 for both! what about these?

EDIT:just read this, but how do i know if maybe i dont have enough power for my cards and they maybe be just slightly underpowered enough to slow them down....i read about that a few minutes ago...
