Another cs problem...

with all the stuff in my life going on i dont need another cs error so if you could help me as soon as you can i would really apreciate it...

FATAL ERROR:
Mod_loadBrushModel: sprites/640hud8.spr has wrong versoin number (1179011410 should be 30)

Happened while trying to connect to server...

Ya need to find another copy of that sprite

Personally, I would uninstall \ reinstall steam

The problem is that i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and i get the same error...

INFACT i have tried reformatting my whole computer just for cs...
as you can i see i love cs

why dont you look for a fresh copy of 640hud8.spr on the internet, get it and slap it in your sprites folder. should fix your problem...

ok but where is my sprites folder i couldnt find it ?

you can get some of those files here so i download it but i just need a ss of where to put it cuz i couldnt find it...

Your origional sprites are in the GCF (Must stand for gay content file)

However a certain folder overrides those, hrm...

lol, my friend was just saying last night "I can wait until I sign my name on the class action lawsuit filed against valve because of STEAM"

I can't believe after having this thing up for years and them wanting to prevent theft of their games so bad that this program is so freakin crappy, what's wrong with them idiots....it's a lot easier to steal HL2 than it is to legitimately set it up, especially if you're on 56k......how wrong is that lol

if u still can't fix it or next time u get a Steam error goto the www.steampowered.com forums, they specialise in Steam problems.
