Alien vs. Predator & Eyefinity

While you can weigh in on the value of the AVP multiplier demo here, I did have an unexpected and joyful Eyefinity experience with it. AVP is the first game I have ever started on my personal Eyefinity system (3x1 Dell U2410 in Portrait) that went directly into Eyefinity mode at 3600x1920 resolution. I know AMD has been working closely with the AVP devs on some things such as DX11 tessellation, but it was nice to see Eyefinity "just work" for once without any action needed on my part. With all the eye candy turned on at 3600x1920, the demo was running from 30 to 45 FPS on a 5970. It felt like there was a good bit of optimization to be had as well and I am unsure that "CrossFireX" was pushing both GPUs on the card. Sound off on your Eyefinity and AVP experiences in this thread.

Dling demo now. This game looks cool. I'm a fan of both sets of movies.

I'm surprised my HD 5670 isn't able to run it on the highest settings, but this could also be due to beta code in the game and me still using beta drivers.

AVP isn't really a game changer anyway in terms of visuals; it barely looks better than left 2 dead 2, which i can max out with AA easily. So sorry if my card isn't a gtx 275 or hd 5870, but it seems a little odd that I at least can't play on very high textures or above normal shadows with no AA.

Those aren't demo pictures; the demo has next to little video settings and only supports DX 9; also I didn't see any settings for AA. The demo really doesn't look that much better.

Maybe it doesn't give you those options since you're using beta drivers which the game doesn't support.
