3 Questions about the i5 for Gaming

I concur with others that gaming today is almost always about the GPU more than it is the CPU. My old rig had an i5 processor at stock speeds and it worked just fine. I haven't had the need to overclock a CPU since my old AMD Opteron in 2007ish.

Gaming Today is about graphics to the detriment of the the graphics; How does that work, buy any new game, now wait for a patch.

I'd suggest you get the 6500 and spend the extra 100 bucks on a better graphics card.
