One of Square Enix's finest RPGs is scheduled to be released as a PS1 Classic in North America sometime in the near future.
As is often the case with these releases, this news comes by way of a listing on the ESRB's website for Chrono Trigger
on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
Chrono Trigger started out as a Super Nintendo title in 1995 before being ported to the original PlayStation in 1999 and, much more recently, the DS (featuring additional content) in 2008. It's also in the process of being ported to the Wii's Virtual Console and mobile phones in Japan.
Square Enix has been releasing a number of its classic RPGs on PSN as of late; Final Fantasy V hit
the Japanese PSN last month and FFVI
just last week. Presumably both will make their way here before long.
