Sounds like a big pile of don't-give-a-crap. WMC/WMP has always been a reeking pile. Yes, I'd totally love some tinny chime sounding noises anytime a crash cymbal is hit, thanks.

The only reason I use WMP is for the Radio. I have never used the WMC Edition and quite frankly dont want to. I'm qurious when 8 comes out what will the compatibility be like with other softwere and if you need to purchase a Touch screen monitor to use the Metro interface, or swich to classic in a sence?

Windows 8 has been out for a while for anyone with MSDN or Dreamspark accounts. I used it as my main OS for three weeks.
Metro works ok without a touchscreen.

Would you just use a mouse and keybord with the 8 Ver. of the OS. Don't know anything about it so its a stupid Question I know. by any chance is their an option of useing mabie something like, windows classic, thus reverting back to say a 7 Desktop and or enviromant.

With Windows 8, there's both the 7 desktop and Metro. Both are used interchangeably depending on what you're doing. I ended up just using apps for the 7 desktop, though some things like search can only open in Metro.

I was just using keyboard and mouse as my desktop doesn't have a touchscreen. It was fine to use Metro with it but not nearly as nice as I imagine it would be if I did have a touchscreen.

There's no Windows Classic now, but there's no Aero either. The 7 desktop is functionally the same but with no Start menu (pressing the Windows key opens the Metro UI) and all the windows are flat, square boxes with no rounded corners. It actually looks very nice, I prefer it to Aero.

As far as I know there's no way to solely use the 7 desktop, as there's always things that only work in Metro.

^^That is why 3 school districts are taking next summer to drop M$ entirely, and go to linux, one is already in the process of doing the switch in a test setup.

These are all districts sitting on XP, that was waiting to see how 8 panned out. Cheaper to go nix for them, and less B/S like metro to deal with.

Would be so good for all educational places to go full Li/unix, would mean loads of kids growing up using it instead of Windows.

Yea, that would be Sweet. Could you Imagine the level of Intelect of theese people thus goeing on further to Study the like of IT Security at Uni or even just College. Li/Unix is way more technical than Windows, and not to mention any one can join the Comunity. If this was the case, on even a natinal level, could you Imagine the level of supiriority of that nation in reguards to being a leader on the Global scale.

I know loads of people, certainly my self. Who look at windows and know how easy it is to use, and look at Linux and Unix and are just bewilderd by the languages, technocality of it. I seriously wounder if those Boffins have given thought to the less priviliged of those in Microsoft to that being those of the Educational system in the wider Gloabal comunity. Take england for example, we are haveing a double dip receccion at the minute and the Edcation System is goeing Mental over cuts, and thats on a natinal scale. So I dont think upgradeing to a touch screen with Win 8 for the Metro interface is priority when you have a Building that is structuarly not safe for the Children.

Good call Microsoft..
