It just seems more economical and efficient.

But, anyway, its very possible they'll lower the price in order to boost sales, but the success of blu-ray is more likely to make them rethink that than go ahead with.

If they had sold their console for $400 or so from day one...they would have been much better off. Or just made their own version of Xbox Live cost money.

Most people I know with 360s have xbox live. They've paid like $50 a year for it.

If sony had done something like that they could have justified a price reduction.

not that im aware of. just make sure you get the latest model with the HDMI port.

The differences between hdmi 1.1 and 1.3 aren't noticable to most people...

Especially in movies, where the refresh and need for data transfer is very low.

Yes there is a difference Its easy to Tell if you have a nice Home theatre setup

HDMI 1.1 is just DVD Audio Quality

HDMI 1.3 supports an output of Dolby DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD Master AudioDolby TrueHD, Also does Audio syncing.. also the Single link Bandwidth is much better

Well yeah you are right in ways.. It does depend on Theatre systems.. but Hey HDMI for most people that dont know anything about whay ive just said.. is just HDMI.. lol
