We have two PS3 stations set up to two different TVs. One TV has a great connection but the other has only 30-45. Any suggestions how to increase the connection? What would ned to be purchased and how do we set it up. Thanks

One way would be to move your wireless router to a more central location. Sometimes just playing with the position it is at in the current room it is in. Another would be to purchase a wireless repeater (aka wireless extender).

Does the PS3 not connect with a level of 30-45?

the router is on the 2nd floor. the ps3 with a great connection is in the basement, and the ps3 with lousey connection is on the 1st floor. it does connect at 30-45, howerver it laggs out after about 5 minutes.

where does the extender connect?, to the router, or the ps3 needing the help?

anything else needed?

thanks for your help!

The extender can be located any where you want it. You would want to position it such that it is between the router and the ps3 with connection difficulties.

Is there a further length to the 1st floor from the router or are there a bunch of walls and such between them?

For fun move the basement ps3 up to the location of the other one just to confirm that the connection strength there is poor instead of a wireless problem with the unit that is already there.

Once you confirm that there is a signal strength problem on the 1st floor you can get a repeater. I would recommend getting one that is the same brand as your router.

What is the model of your current router?

Also is there any chance of relocating the current wireless router?
