What game is this?

I cant remember the name of this game and tried googleing a description of it but couldnt come up with anything.

It was for the ps1, you were in a robot suit or something and there were dogs that talked. You might have even been a dog I dont remember.

I was thinking Megaman, too - until I read about a talking dog.

Another one that comes to mind is Metroid Prime, though I don't know if it was made for PS1. I just remember him being all robot-y.
