Sports games on next gen consoles

How do well do sports games run on ps3 and 360? Do they run a lot smoother? I have a ps2 and play college hoops and other sports games. I was basically wondering if there was a dramatic difference in the smoothness of the gameplay, mostly for basketball games though.

Personally the 360 wins it for me hands down! - You will notice a big improvement in the way the games run.

XBox360 Live & Call of Duty 4 is just awesome!

Although i'm not a basketball fan so wouldn't have played a basketball game
