Low fps

Hi, I recently built my new gaming pc and ive been testing out games like bf2, half life 2, guild wars, and some rts games.
I've been getting 30-90 fps on all games, for example when i play bf2 or counter strike source during gun fights my fps drop down to 30. I've updated my drivers and i even tryed using older drivers but that doesnt seem to work. I used speed fan to check the temps on my cpu and its at 38 C, when im playing a game it goes up to like 45 C. I also check my temps for my video card it idles around 50c and goes up to like 60c sometimes 70c.

AMD +4000 2.4ghz
Corsair 2gb
Western digitil 250 gb
creative labs sound blaster
DFI lan party nforce4 sli dr
Enermax power supply 535W

but with my video card i should be getting higher fps right? cause during gun fights it gets really laggy and i go to servers where my ping is low so that cant be it.

no not really

my suggestion
get another of the exact same video card and do SLI
you have an SLI mobo
that should help
