Vita has Ragnorak Odyssey and Persona 4 the Golden as far as RPG's go. You can also download and play any of the PS1 FF games too.

They're still $249 new, but there are a couple of different bundles for that price. Amazon had them on Black Friday for $179 with Assassins Creed Liberation and Play Station all stars. Not that that helps you any right now.

Speaking of the Vita, BB is having a new years sale on games.

Most Vanillaware games share that art style. Odin Sphere (PS2 Classic) has been $5 on PSN the past month. You should check it out. They're also making a Vita/PS3 cross-play game called Dragon's Crown. Its like a swords and sorcery side scrolling beat em up.
