half-life 2 on xbox

I am not very happy about Half-Life 2 coming to the xbox. Now all of the un-intelligent people that use the xbox and think it's the "cool thing" will be talking about this new game that's an xbox exclusive.
It's not! They'll be destroying the wonderful community of gamers that make up Half-Life 2's beautiful center. I don't wish to be mean to xbox gamers. There are some intelligent people that play on the xbox. But, still, there are many people that think gaming is just another way to shoot a rapper, or that gaming is a fad that popped up a year ago. I don't want people saying that Half-Life 2 copied Halo. It didn't!
Half-Life 1 came out in 1998!

Anyways, I don't really want Half-Life 2 to come to the Xbox.
Half-Life is almost like a special thing that pc gamers hold close to their hearts, and when Half-Life 2 goes mainstream, it will be like stabbing pc gamers in the heart.

I know that the world will not come to an end. I was just making a point. Also, i bet nobody will buy it because it will not include online play or xbox live connectivity (no mods unless you have a modded xbox). For some reason, people are obsessed with online gaming. I wish developers would spend more time on single player. I have always enjoyed a rich, involving story much more than being cussed at by some guy that sounds like a chipmunk online.

I definatly understand how you feel. I've noticed the recent trend with video games being cool and its kind of ironic that in the past video games were only for nerds and now its a mainstream thing, which i am not happy about. All you can hope for is that there are still creative people out there making sure the game industry doesn't go stale.

Yes. How I wish that gaming was still a "hobby" of sorts. Now, while there are still a few people out there with creative juices flowing through them, most games are made by cold, corporate entities that are just trying to make a quick buck through merchandising and movie games. I think that gaming will eventually get "out of style" in pop culture. You've probably seen how fast trends come and go. With the new consoles coming out, there might be just enough technical words floating around that the "cool" crowd will think that gaming's too geeky, and they willl go back to the porn magazines and horrible rap albums that they came from.

It will hopefully be super crappy, than the x-box people say HL2 sucks, and we go back into our little worlds.

Don't blame the xbox gamers. Blame the same people who brought you that little gem you hold "close to your heart." They're the ones who want to make the extra buck and allowing their game to get ported over to a console.

Just like Doom 3, it'll be a washed down version. Just be glad you're able to fully enjoy the game as it's meant to be -- on a computer with all the eye-candy turned on, etc.
