the touchscreen is probably for configuration of what devices to connect to and it looks like it might have some on-board storage for music. As overlord said they aren't going to be out until later this year, but if you've got money to burn they're kinda cool. I can imagine it would get super annoying to take off the headphones just to use the touch screen capabilities, and not to mention I bet they weigh a ton and a half.

If I were to get a new headset for PC gaming or even console gaming. I would shell out for Astro A40's and their Mix Amp.
For sure, Astro makes very high quality headsets.
