This just reinforces my point even more though.
 
It's not speeds that guarantee a smooth game, it's ping which comes from closeness to server and connection/line quality. You can have a 5Mb upload with a ping of 5 because you're close and still have a better experience than most in this situation.

The US actually has rather ****ty ISPs so saying they need so and so amount of connection reduces half the available players that otherwise would have bought the game. It's bad business and why they don't do this. The US needs a net revamp, that's the bottom line.
