Reading through the patch notes now. They have made some really nice tweaks. The insight vendor now sells bloodstone chunks for 30 insight. That is completely insane, but a step in the right direction. For some reason the chunks are insanely hard to find outside of the static drops in the last 2 areas. Even in chalice dungeons they are uber rare. In fact, it is easier to farm the rocks to bring weapons from +9 to +10 than it is for the chunks. However, this may have changed with the recent patch because the bosses will now drop weapon upgrade materials in addition to blood gems and level 4 of any dungeon will have bloodstone chunks.
As I mentioned before, they have also removed level restrictions on password co-op. I do not know how this will work if you are in a different play through though. Could someone in NG summon me in while I'm in NG+?
They also increased the number of vials and bullets you can hold in storage to 600. That is a very nice change.
Those are the best tweaks IMO. There were several more though.
