Aggreed. Those are pretty much the only games I play online any more.

If you want something less realistic, Quake IV also has a pretty good competitive scene. If you want to check out a demo, which has both a single player and multiplayer componenent, you can get it here.

I'd say BF2. I don't really play online games but I loved BF2. I don't play it much now but when I did you couldn't get me off it. CS:S is too competitive for me that's why I don't play it. BF2 is competitive but you can have fun aswell and nobody really flames you for being a n00b.

BF2 is awesome, CounterStrike is also really good. Americas Army has a large following too. Quake IV isnt bad, FEAR has a meh multi but sorta fun at times.

CS is the most competitive as such (imo) but not necessarily the best. im going through an America's Army stage atm.

there are still 5k servers during weekdays in the US for CS 1.6 alone.
