I keep getting this error on my sonicwall:
- WARNING: LDAP is being used without TLS - this is highly insecure.
- Log messages cannot be sent because you have not specified an outbound SMTP server address.

Usually this happens after a power outage or surge but it blocks outside internet access. Inner network and exchange are fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Solution & Steps Taken

First, do a hard reboot of the firewall machine to get a fresh start.
Make sure SSL is active on the LDAP server (if you use it).
If you have an LDAP user set up in your active directory, make sure the password is not expired and/or locked within your SonicWall.
If you are still having problems at that point then try changing the Allowed Internet Subnet. Sometimes this is set to a specific group, change it to everyone.

This should clear up all the following Errors:
*WARNING: LDAP is being used without TLS - this is highly insecure.
*SonicWall Log In
*Incorrect User name or password.
*User Barred
