Live Migration question

Hi

I have a question about migration/live migration

when migrating existing physical infrastructure (Severs with their services and desktops) to a virtual environment, is there a way i can simple use live migration, or do i have to go through the entire P2V process?

Would performing P2V stop a servers services?

Is there a way to skip P2V entirely and simple perform live migration from a physical infrastructure directly to a virtual environment without stopping any services?

Im not sure about P2V but migrating V2P is possible without downtime..
