hmm, last I checked it was only for VMware. re-checked this just now and it looks like they added support for hyper-v. people told me they really liked it for VMware so I'd say its worth a try for hyper-v.

DPM, Altaro, ShadowProtect are other options.

You bet it is! Not only does it support Hyper V but VMWare also. Now, they actually just released a workstation level backup solution called Veeam Endpoint. We are using Veeam products to support over 50 of our customers.

Of course it is. We are using it here internally for a few years. We are also using it at our customer sites that we support. Now they've even released a workstation version (free). Check out their website for all the features but it will work for you.

Veeam is great for HyperV. What's nice is they have a free version if you're strapped for cash. Else, their paid subscription boasts many great features. Another really nice thing about Veeam is that they have support even for their free products.
