Teaching an old dog new tricks. OCZ Agility edition.
So I've had some problems with my motherboard and my 120GB Vertex 2 SSD. I've had no choice but to bust out my old trusty 1st generation OCZ Agility 60GB SSD.
I went to look up firmware updates, and it seems like 1.7 is the latest on the OCZ firmware download page.

But if you head over to the forums, there is a secret firmware called Arowana.
Arowana Update for 34nm Vertex/Agility/Solid2 drives.
This Arowana firmware is applicable for 34nm Vertex/Agility/Solid2 drives. Make sure you follow the instructions in that post explicitly.

slightly reduced read speeds, but much better writes. especially random 4k writes. and that access time, which makes your drive feel snappy, is also reduced.
