Default Laptop Parts

So, over the next few days, I am going to be parting out various laptops, including a few macs.

I am wondering for projects whar are some items to keep off of them ?

I know things such as the wifi cables, the USB dongles, fans, headsinks.

but what are some items to save that can be used in other projects?

Didn't read OP's post, I guess? He was wondering what things were worth keeping to use on various projects.

By using Ebay as reference, the OP can see the most often sold parts, and their value to know what he should keep for future parts

I have surfed Ebay, and I do have majority of those parts in bulk.
it didnt solve my OP, because there are various items that people sell on Ebay which have little to no use in other various project. the point in it was also to see what other people that are in to hardware hacking do with said parts. ebay is greate but the people selling stuff dont say " well I used the Sata cable to customize a connection on my raspberry pi" they just sell parts for so and so laptop.
But thank you for the suggestion.

I just figgure'd ebay would help you decide what parts to keep. A while back I saw something about converting an old laptop into one of those digital picture frame things that hang on the wall, had a nice wood frame around it and it looked nice. Doesn't take much horse power from a laptop to show digital pics
