So does anybody know how the wireless Uverse box works? Besides the obvious, it hooks up to an AP that is hard wired into the Uverse modem. What's the handshake?
This apartment is setup weird and we are moving her Uverse setup instead of simply switching because she is used to it and already has the hardware. (Yes, I tried convincing her otherwise.)
We are forced to have the DSL input in the bedroom where I'll hard wire the set top with the HDD and I'm going to hard wire my own router to come into the living room. I want to hook the Uverse TV AP to my router so I have no cables going from one side of the living room to the other (projector usage + TV).
Probably a question for ATT but the installer didn't know and I don't want to go through the trouble of setting it up and it not work.
TL;DR will the Uverse set top connected wirelessly see service through a non-Uverse router/AP?
