Blu Ray / DVD Player question

I want to buy a Blu Ray/DVD Player but I want to be able to watch films on my laptop, not just on the TV.
Can Blu Ray/DVD Players be connected to a laptop?

Only if your laptop has a video INPUT - which I'd say at least 90% do not.

If you really wanted to watch them on your laptop, just buy a replacement BD drive for your laptop. Keep in mind you'd then also have to buy the software to play the BD movies.

No, that's an output not an input. Outputs are normally used to display your notebook's screen on a larger screen.
