WMA Files Won't Play; MP3s Will

I have been working on this beast of a computer for some time and have everything fixed, except for a WMA file issue. There are a lot of WMA files in My Music and not a one of them will play. The error that WMP 11 gives is: You've encountered error message C00D11B1 while using Windows Media Player. I have tried WinAmp to see if that would shed some light on the issue but the files will not play. Anyone with any ideas on this please share.

PC Make: Dell
OS: XP Home SP3
Audio Card: SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 (Dell)
RAM: 1 GB

Uninstall and reinstall WMP. I assume you've been able to play these files in the past?

and if you have any codec packs installed, reinstall them too

Unless there WMA Protected..
maybe it could be to do with licenses.

Try the following...
Open Windows Media Player and go to...
Tools / Options / Player tab......Uncheck...
Connect to the internet / Apply / OK.
