wireless mouse

Hi
I have a Creative Wireless Infrared mouse and modem communicating with one "base station" connected to the computer through USB.

the mouse does not seem to be that responsive, i feel that it misses my first command, i feel like i need to "wake" it up, and sometimes it misses a click. it is a pain when you are playing real time strategy games. horse go up, not down

Does the mouse not have channels ...Try changing the channel ..It might help it to communicate better

Alternatively .. u can try positioning the base station in a better location

How do i know if the mouse has channels?
and how i could change them?

Isn't there a button below the mouse or on the base station to change channel's ... It could also be on the software provided with the mouse

No, there is no button on the mouse
On the base station, there is a central button, surrounded by four green LEDs labelled
Com, Num, Caps, Scroll
The unit is a Creative Desktop Wireless 6000.
