i use the windows audio recorder alot for reversing audio, but i tried to use it and i got no sound, but im playing music right now so i dont know what the deal is, could this be a sound card issue or just the audio recorder it self?

Might be a sound card issue, but not with the sound card.

I have a USBPRE that I can connect to the computer and then record audio by connecting my source (CD, DVD, etc.) into it. However, if I boot the computer with that connected to it, the computer reads it as my audio card...consequently, no sound from the speakers.

I have to disconnect it, reboot, and the reconnect it if I want to use it. Make sure your audio preferences are correct by checking "Start" "Control Panel" "Sound Devices"

Hope that helps.

lol yeh! it is fun, it aint a problem with the sound card, presuming its the recorder itself, but there are wayyyy better recorders!!!
like

1.Total Recorder Standard Edition 6
2.Mp3 My Mp3 Recorder 2

ps:this could most likely be a problem with the microphone your using as well, if it is broken no sound is obviously going to be recorded( it just hit me!)

btw, if you want to use those programs, just google them and they'l pop up!
